Cuddapah
CUDDAPAH, AUG. 30. The CPI(M) divisional convenor of Cuddapah, K. Anjaneyulu has accused officials of Chinna Chowk, Chemmumiyapet and Putlampalle panchayats of being negligent in mitigating drinking water scarcity, sanitation, repairs to damaged roads and other problems. Unsanitary conditions increased the risk of epidemics and viral fever, but the panchayat officials were nonchalant, he said on Monday. Residents of Sundaraiahnagar and Ramakrishnanagar were facing problems due to lack of electrification, but the officials concerned were ignoring their representations. Bhagat Singhnagar established some 10 years ago, lacked drainage facility, power supply and officials were yet to issue house site pattas, he lamented.
