Matches end in draw
BANGALORE,
AUG. 30.
Dharwad Zone and Bangalore Zone collected five points each by virtue of their first innings lead in the KSCA under-15 inter-zonal cricket tournament here. Dharwad drew with Bangalore City XI, while Bangalore Zone drew with Mysore Zone.
Replying to City XI's total of 153, Dharwad made 294, thanks to a fine knock from Shanbag (90). In the second innings, City XI scored 212 losing one wicket before the match was called off. Rahul Bhatkal (108 n.o.) and Akhil Vishwanath (94) were the main scorers.
The scores: Bangalore City XI 153 for eight & 212 for one (Akhil Vishwanath 94, Rahul Bhatkal 108 n.o.) drew with Dharwad Zone 294 (Ramdas 28, Mahesh Shanbag 90, Pavan Deshpande 71, K. Suri 34, Sameer Deshpande 34, Shivam three for 70).
Bangalore Zone 215 and 135 for one (Kishore 77 n.o., S. Sampath 39 n.o.) drew with Mysore Zone 180 (Nirmith 45, Krishna Kaushik 29, Arjun Kumar four for 12) and 78 for three (Nitin Vinayak 30).
