FORT BRAGG (North Carolina): A soldier already convicted in the Abu Ghraib prison abuse scandal testified on Monday that fellow Army reservist, Pfc. Lynndie England, was a willing participant in creating the "human pyramid" of naked Iraqi detenus shown in the infamous photographs from Iraq. Pvt. Jeremy C. Sivits testified at a hearing in Pfc. England's case that he helped escort one detenu into the Baghdad prison one night in December 2003. He said a sergeant, who was in charge, ordered Pfc. England and another soldier to stop "stomping on the fingers and toes" of a detenu. After that sergeant left, Pvt. Sivits testified, he watched as Spc. Charles Graner Jr. and others stacked seven naked detenus, who had bags over their heads, in the human pyramid and photographed them. He testified that Pfc. England was "having a good time."
