SRINAGAR, AUG. 31. In a minor reshuffle in the administration, the State Government today ordered the transfer of senior officers including two Deputy Commissioners and the Director Information. The Cabinet, which met here under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, ordered the transfer of senior IAS officer Amit Kushari as Financial Commissioner (Labour) replacing Khurshid Malik. The latter will take over as Secretary Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution from Mr Kushari. Naveen Chowdary, Vice-Chairman Jammu Development Authority (JDA), has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary (Tourism). K B Jandial Director Information will replace Mr Chowdary. Joint Director Information Farooq Ahmed Reenzoo on his elevation has been posted as Director Information. The Cabinet approved the transfer of Asgar Samoon, Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, as Special Secretary (Health) and Baseer Khan Deputy Commissioner Pulwama in his place. Abdul Latif Deva Chief executive Officer Pahalgam Development Authority will be the new Deputy Commissioner Pulwama. However, formal orders in respect of Mr Khan and Mr Deva will be issued after clearance from Election Commission as Pahalgam segment in Anantnag district will go to by-election in October. The seat fell vacant after the election of Mehbooba Mufti as Member of Parliament.
