Hiren Mukherjee portrait to be unveiled

NEW DELHI,
AUG. 31.
As a tribute to the illustrious Communist leader, a portrait of Hiren Mukherjee will adorn the Central Hall of Parliament. A collection of speeches made in Parliament by the leader known for his oratory and intellect would be also be published. The Lok Sabha Speaker, Somnath Chatterjee, made this announcement at a memorial meeting here. The former President, K.R. Narayanan, the Communist Party of India general secretary, A.B. Bardhan, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) Polit Bureau member, Prakash Karat, and the former Union Minister, Madhu Dandavate, participated in the meeting.
