Swetha, Meenu Priya share lead

CHENNAI, AUG. 31. G. Swetha (Kancheepuram) and S. Meenu Priya (Madurai) shared the lead in the girl's under-7 section with full points after three rounds in the Tamil Nadu state under-7 and under-9 chess championship here on Tuesday.

Other leaders: Boys: Under-7: Balaganapathy (NLC), L. Barath (Tvlr), S. Kaushik (Chennai), A.J. Gireman (Cbe), M. Vasantharuba Varman (Chennai) and G. Vishal (Tvlr), three points.

Girls: Under-9: J. Vaishnavi (Tiruchi), J. Saranya (Tvlr), V. Janu (Tvlr), K. Swathi (PCA) and A. Asha Meera (JCA), three points.

Boys: Under-9: N.D. Rakesh Kumar (Erode), Ajay Srikanth (Che), Osma Salim (Che), Mugil Jayavel (ECC), Neil Franklin (Che), three points.
