Viswabharathi triumphs

CHENNAI, AUG. 31. Viswabharathi, Bhilai beat Gokulnath, Salem 72-63 in the boys' final of the PBA-KCG all-India inter-school basketball tournament on Tuesday.

In the girls' final, Bhilai Steel Plant beat Brannan, Thalassaray 103-58.

The results:

Boys' final: Viswabharathi, Bhilai 72 (Murli 26, Prathar Singh 12, Kiran Pal 11, T.R.S. Rao 11) bt Gokulnath, Salem 63 (Parthiban 12, Thuyavan 10, Azarudddin 20, Vinod 13).

Girls' final: Bhilai Steel Plant 103 (Mridula Adel 27, Pushpa 14, Kawaljeet 14, Akanksha 23) bt Brannan, Thalassaray 58 (Matthew 31, Lija 13).
