Zee, ESS invited to meet BCCI's tender committee

MUMBAI,
AUG. 31.
Zee Telefilms and ESPN-STAR Sports (ESS) have been invited to Chennai on Saturday (September 4) to meet the Tender Committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Zee and ESS are two of the five broadcasting companies that have bid for the television rights of the BCCI, offering $260 million and $ 230 million respectively for four years. The other three are SET Max, Prasar Bharati and Ten Sports.
ESS, which provided live feed of the Asia Cup to Prasar Bharati, has signed a similar agreement with the national broadcaster in the event of it winning the rights for international matches held in India up to 2008.
