Big win for Northern Railway
NEW DELHI,
AUG. 31.
Four goals, including a hat-trick, from Rajur helped Northern Railway trounce Food Corporation of India (FCI), HQ 9-0 in the Delhi State hockey league at the Shivaji Stadium here on Tuesday.
Rajur struck in the 18th, 25th, 30th and 56th minutes. Rajesh (12th), Rajneesh (54th), Gajinder Sharma (58th), Sandip Rana (60th) and Rajesh (66th) scored the other goals.
Earlier, FCI North Zone defeated Indian Airlines, North Zone 6-3 with Satwinder Jr. slotting home two goals (14th and 20th). Navbir Singh (36th), Gurinder (55th), Lakhbir (60th) and Satwinder Sr. (67th) were the other scorers for FCI. Ravinder (40th, 49th and 54th) netted Indian Airlines' all three goals.
Dharam Singh, Bikar Toppo (two goals), Prem, Gaganpreet Singh and Rupinder scored as Punjab National Bank blanked ONGC 6-0.
