KOCHI, AUG. 31. Kochi Refineries Limited (KRL) has said that if the closure notice issued by the State Pollution Control Board (PCB) not withdrawn, it would affect supply of LPG, petrol, diesel and kerosene in the State and also the southern parts of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. KRL's closure would also have negative impact on industrial units such as HOCL, Cochin Port Trust, FACT and NTPC, said a KRL press release here today. The release urged the PCB to withdraw its closure notice, which was received by the company on Monday. The company has moved the Kerala High Court seeking a stay on the PCB's order pending disposal of the oil refinery's representation to the board.
