SCR, Secunderabad wins title

HYDERABAD, AUG. 31. South Central Railway, Secunderabad won the title in the T.A. Sastry memorial all-India invitational ball badminton tournament, conducted by HAL, Hyderabad, which concluded here on Monday.

P.R.K. Fives was the runner-up, while SCR, Vijayawada was third and host HAL, Hyderabad fourth. Rajkumar Perumal of IOB, Chennai, G.V. Ramana of HAL, Hyderabad and Srinivas of Victoria Town Hall, Nuzvid shared the best player award.

Thirteen boys and 11 girls, all students of HAL High School who have represented AP in sub-junior, junior and inter-university championships, and their coach G.D.N.V. Prasad were given mementos.

The prizes were given away by Andhratejam, General Manager (Avionics), HAL, Hyderabad, and P. Ramakrishna Rao, Chief Manager (Personnel and Administration) HAL, Hyderabad.
