Burglar strikes at Adambakkam flat

CHENNAI, AUG. 31 . Gold jewellery weighing 40 sovereigns were removed from a flat in Adambakkam in the neighbouring Chengalpattu East police district limits on Monday.

According to police, Abdul Samad, a resident of Mahalakshmi Apartments had gone out to meet his relatives around 11.30 a.m. When he returned home an hour later, he found the gate opened. The intruder had removed the jewellery from the almirah, police said. Experts from the Finger Print department visited the spot and lifted prints from there, police said.
