CHENNAI, AUG. 31. Former president of the Andhra Chamber of Commerce, L.V. Ramaiah, died here on Monday. He was 84. Ramaiah is survived by four sons and three daughters. Condoling his death, the Chamber said Ramaiah had been its member since 1954 and had associated with its executive committee from July 1970. Ramaiah, who assumed office as the chamber president in 1983, was associated with several educational and cultural organisations in Chennai and Andhra Pradesh. The chamber, which remained closed today as a mark of respect, honoured him recently for his "sustained membership support," a release said.
