NEW DELHI, AUG. 31. About half-a-dozen senior Delhi police officials have either been transferred or promoted. According to a Delhi police spokesperson, the Joint Commissioner of Police (Vigilance), Kanwaljit Deol, has been made the Joint Commissioner (Headquarters). Anil Sinha, who joins the police from Central deputation, will replace Ms. Deol. S.B. Deol, who was heading the Provision and Lines Unit as the Joint Commissioner, will be moving out of Delhi as Inspector General, Andman and Nicobar Islands. He has been replaced by Alok Verma, who joins the force after completing his tenure in Andman and Nicobar Islands. Ujjwal Mishra, who was heading the Special Branch as the Deputy Commissioner of Police, has been promoted to Additional Commissioner of Police and will continue to head the Department.
