HYDERABAD, SEPT. 1. The Sultan Bazar police on Wednesday arrested three persons for allegedly committing several burglaries and recovered stolen electronic goods worth Rs. 3 lakhs. The recovered goods included 11 colour televisions, three music systems and seven stabilisers. On a tip-off, a police party nabbed one Shaik Zulfikar who was selling two new colour TVs at Haridas market. During interrogation, Zulfikar confessed to have committed theft of electronic goods along with his accomplices, Rizwanuddin and Md. Javed. The other two were also arrested subsequently, the Police Commissioner, R.P. Singh, told a press conference here today.
Tape recorders recovered
<167,2p,1>In another case, the police recovered 35 tape recorders allegedly stolen by a cleaner of a seven-seater autorickshaw. The accused, Raghuvaran Reddy (15), was picked up by the police when he was moving suspiciously at Habsiguda. On being questioned, Reddy admitted that he used to steal the tape-recorders from vehicles parked in front of houses.
Vehicle lifter nabbed
The Chaderghat police arrested a resident of Chandrayanagutta, Azmath Ali Khan (21), and recovered seven two-wheelers worth Rs. 3 lakhs, stolen by him.
Murder case solved
A labourer, B. Mallaiah (40) of Malakpet, was arrested by the Chaderghat police in connection with the murder of a destitute woman, Nagamani (40). The victim was living on a footpath near Mahboob Mansion in Prameela Tai colony of Malakpet.
