This Day That Age
The Government of India have agreed to the commencement of negotiations with Portugal on September 7, to settle the ways and means of implementing the principle of impartial observation in the Portuguese colonies. In a note handed to Portugal on September 1 the Government of India have emphasised that "all matters relevant to the agreed principle should be discussed in the course of the negotiations and that neither side should ask the other to accept in advance certain conditions which would detract from the value of the negotiations.''
