Letters to the Editor
Sir, The killing of the 12 Nepalese hostages by Iraqi abductors was inhuman. The terrorists, to overcome their frustration at not being able to gain an upper hand in Iraq, are targeting innocent people who go overseas to earn their livelihood.
B.V. Kumar,
Sir, Such horrifying acts should be condemned by people of all religions. Islam, which preaches universal brotherhood, does not approve of such barbaric acts.
Md. Yasin,
Sir, The misguided militants have perpetrated this barbaric act in the name of Islam which is unfortunate. Islam preaches only kindness, tolerance and forgiveness.
P.M. Usman Ali,
Sir, As security for Westerners gets tighter and more effective, militants have started targeting Asians. Unfortunately, economic considerations compel these people to risk their lives.
Bernard Thangasamy,
