Letters to the Editor
Sir, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has been appreciated for dealing firmly with the Opposition when its leaders met him to present a memorandum on the budget. He should display the same firmness in dealing with his Ministers so as not to send the signal that the UPA is a rudderless ship.
Eliza Srikrishnan,
Sir, The allegation that the BJP has not come to terms with its defeat is baseless. Most of the BJP leaders have been in the Opposition for decades. It is Congressmen who rake up non-issues to divert the people's attention from inflation and Manipur. If Dr. Singh is indeed as firm as he wants the Opposition and the country to believe, why does he not ask chargesheeted Ministers to resign?
