NEW DELHI, SEPT. 2. Durgesh Prasad scored twice as Government Senior Secondary School, Bhopal, defeated Progressive High School, Goa 3-0 in the league match of the junior section in the Subroto Cup football tournament at the Ambedkar stadium here on Thursday.

Prasad opened the account for the Bhopal school in the eighth minute and then made it 2-0 as he found the opening in the 14th minute also. Santosh Kumar Rai (60th minute) sealed the issue as Goans were overwhelmed.

In the second match, Government Senior Secondary School, Malacca, Carnicobar, blanked Sri Satnamji Boys School, Srisa, 5-0. Francis struck twice, in the 23rd and 26th minutes, while Ashael W. (6th), Manuah (16th) and Andrew (21st) were the other scorers. — Our Sports Reporter
