Mahajana FGC wins tennis title

MYSORE, SEPT. 2. SBRR Mahajana FGC clinched the Mysore University inter-collegiate men's tennis title (Chamundi zone) at the Maharaja's College grounds here on Thursday.

The results: Tennis (final): SBRR Mahajana FGC bt PG Sports Council 3-0 (S. Prasanth bt B.S. Anil Kumar 6-0, 6-1; Vishal M. Krishnam bt M.M. Shiva Sharan Cheluve Urs 6-2, 6-1; S. Vijaykumar/T.S. Pradeep bt G.P. Yogesha/S.K. Prasannakumar 6-2, 6-3).

Gymnastics (winners only): Men: Floor exercise, pommel horse, parallel bars and horizontal bars: Ravi S. Patel (JSS Law College, Mysore). Roman rings: C.N. Ganesha (Mahajana Law College). Individual championship: Ravi S. Patel (JSS Law College, 39.6 points).

Women: Floor exercise, uneven bars, balancing beam and vaulting horse: Deepkia R. Shilare (Yuvaraja's College, Mysore). Individual championship: Deepika R. Shilare (Yuvaraja's College, Mysore, 23.10 points).
