Blow for Indian squad for Paralympics

BANGALORE, SEPT. 2. The Parlympic Committee of India has selected a 12-member team for the 12th edition of the Paralympics to be held at Athens from September 17 to 29.

However, their participation is in doubt as they have been told to raise funds on their own to participate in the prestigious event.

"It has been a big blow and we are running from pillar to post to raise the funds," says Malathi Holla, a Padma Shri Awardee and a wheelchair athlete.
