KOLKATA, SEPT. 4. Eastern Railway clinched the overall championship in the 45th all-India inter-Railway aquatics meet at the Subhas Sarobar pool here on Saturday. Eastern logged 215 points, while runner-up Western collected 117 points. The final day also witnessed Dipesh Bairagi (50m backstroke) and Eastern's 4X100m medley relay team creating meet records. Dipesh clocked 28.50s to better his own mark of 28.83s set last year. The medley relay team erased the four-year-old record with a time of 4:12.77s. Gairik Bardhan and Akbar Ali Mir (both Eastern, 33 points) were declared joint individual champions.
