Rain likely

The sky will be generally cloudy and a spell of rain is likely in Bangalore on Sunday, according to the weather forecast.

On Saturday, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 26.7 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 19.9 degrees Celsius. The rainfall was "trace." The humidity was 77 per cent.

At the airport, the maximum temperature was 26.8 degrees Celsius and the minimum 19.1 degrees Celsius. The humidity was 67 per cent.

Training

Canara Bank, under the aegis of CBPJRD Trust, has invited applications for a three-month training programme for unemployed youth in hardware assembling, maintenance and networking.

Matriculates aged 18 to 25 are eligible to apply. Those interested may attend the written test on September 22. For details, call 23440036.

Open house

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. (BSNL) will be conducting open-house sessions between 10 a.m. and noon on Tuesday in its offices of area manager and deputy general manager in Bangalore. Subscribers may make use of the opportunity to air their grievances.

Admission

Kunchitigara Sarvajanika Vidyarthi Nilaya has invited applications from medical, engineering, technical, agricultural and Master's degree students for admission to its free hostel.
