Pipeline breach: water crisis likely during next 2 days

By Our Special Correspondent

TIRUPATI. Sept. 6. Tirupati residents may have to go without their daily water supply for the next two days thanks to major damage to the pipeline carrying water to the town from the Kailasagiri reservoir. Municipal authorities have already rushed to the spot and are trying to close the gaping hole.

The water gushing out of the breach turned the entire area around Papanaidupet into a slush pool before the authorities plugged the leak.
