BHEL wins turnkey contract
NEW DELHI: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has secured a turnkey substation contract in Uttaranchal, aimed at improving the power supply in the upcoming industrial area in Haridwar. Valued at nearly Rs. 27 crores, the order for setting up a new 220 kV grid substation in Haridwar, has been placed on BHEL by Uttaranchal Power Corporation Ltd. (UPCL). The project will be commissioned by BHEL in a tight schedule of 15 months. Prior to this, UPCL had entrusted BHEL with a turnkey contract for setting up a new 220 kV grid substation and extension of an existing 132 kV substation at Ramnagar in Roorkee.
