Hikal buys stake in Danish firm

NEW DELHI, SEPT. 6. Active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) manufacturer Hikal today said it has bought a 50.1 per cent controlling stake in Denmark's Marsing and Co A/S for $6 million. Marsing is a pharmaceutical marketing and distribution company with annual sales of over $60 million. Recently, Hikal had signed a long-term agreement with crop protection major Bayer CropScience AG to manufacture and supply agro-chemical intermediates. — UNI
