NHPC, VA Tech sign contract

NEW DELHI: The National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) has singed a contract worth Rs. 222.80 crores with VA Tech Hydro India Pvt. Ltd. for electro-mechanical works of its 132 MW Teesta Low Dam-III hydroelectric project in West Bengal. The contract is to be completed within 39 months and after its completion 594.07 MU energy will be generated annually. — Our Staff Reporter
