Sir, This refers to the article, "Countering terror" (Sept. 3). Terrorism is a reality today and `counter-terrorism', whatever it may be, seems to be working for the U.S. and Britain. And a country where a film made to lampoon the President Fahrenheit 9/11 grosses over $100 million cannot be that oppressive.

Sir, When even powerful nations like the U.S., Britain and Russia are stepping up their efforts to counter terrorist activities, it is astonishing that the UPA Government is likely to issue an ordinance to scrap POTA for political reasons.
