Four children drowned in roadside pond

KARIMNAGAR, SEPT. 6. Four children reportedly drowned when they went to play in a small pool of water along the roadside on the outskirts of Vinjapalli village of Koheda mandal on Monday evening.

The police said the children of Vaddera Colony were returning home after tuitions in a private school.

The water accumulated along the roadside as a new road was being laid by lifting mud by making a pit adjacent to the road.

The deceased have been identified as B. Shekhar (5), B. Prashanth (5), B. Kanaka Laxmi (9) and B. Kishan (6).
