NEW DELHI, SEPT 6. After a long delay, the Delhi Government has nominated Mahabal Mishra, Jile Singh Chauhan (Congress) and Mange Ram Garg (BJP) as members to represent the interests of the Government in the Delhi Development Authority. This is a second consecutive term for Mr. Mishra in the Authority. It is understood that the Delhi Assembly Secretary, Siddharth Rao, has sent the relevant information to the DDA informing about the nomination of these three members. A formal notification appointing these three is likely to be issued shortly. The appointments came about only after some drama and mismanagement on part of the Delhi Government. It is learnt the Delhi Government had recommended the name of Ramvir Singh Bidhuri as one of the members from the quota of the ruling party. The name of Mr. Bidhuri along with that of Mr. Chauhan was forwarded to the Delhi Assembly for initiation of the necessary process. However, the Assembly Secretariat pointed out that two members should be from the ruling party and one from the opposition. As Mr. Bidhuri's name had been recommended from the ruling party, it was found that this would not stand the test of law and the Congress should nominate someone else. The party had also got two other nominations filed by Rajesh Jain and Mr.Mishra. As Mr. Bidhuri failed to make it to the DDA, it was decided to ask Mr. Jain to resign and allow Mr. Mishra another term in the Authority.
