HYDERABAD, SEPT. 6. The State Government felicitated 35 outstanding physical education teachers from schools, junior and degree colleges and universities on the occasion of Teacher's Day at Government College of Physical Education in Domalguda here on Sunday. They were selected for their immense contribution in the field of education and sports.
Posts to be filled
Speaking on the occasion, the Technical Education Minister, Nayani Narasimha Reddy, promised to fill PET posts in all polytechnics very soon. He also assured the AP Physical Education Teachers' Association to allot a suitable site in the city for the construction of it's own exclusive building. At the same time he also appealed to the teachers to continue their good work with the required discipline and dedication for better results. The Secunderabad MP, Anjan Kumar Yadav, stressed on the role of PETs in social reconstruction in contemporary times. "The future of an individual depends on how teachers mould the raw talent when he or she is in school," he added.
Appeal to Government
The president of APPETA, B. Yadaiah, appealed to the Government to take steps to ensure that every primary school had a PET on the rolls for better results in sports in future. The association general secretary, Kondal Rao reminded the PETs the crucial role they played in shaping the destiny of the children at school.
