At Waltair, the maximum temperature was 30.9 degrees C and the minimum was 25.0 degrees C respectively on Monday. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 87 per cent and at 5.30 p.m was 78 per cent. Rainfall up to 8.30 a.m. was 11.9 mm.

At airport, the maximum and minimum temperatures were 32.8 deg. C and 26.0 degrees C respectively. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 80 per cent and at 5.30 p.m was 69 per cent. Rainfall up to 8.30 a.m. was 23.8 mm.

The maximum and minimum temperatures at the Dolphin's Nose were 30.6 degrees C and 22.7 degrees C respectively. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 84 per cent. Rainfall up to 8.30 a.m. was 15.6 mm.

IT Week

The IT Week-2004, being organised by the Systems Department of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant from Sept 6 to 11, was inaugurated by the Chairman-cum-Managing Director, B.K. Panda. He released "IT policy'' of the VSP on the occasion. P.K. Bishnoi, Director(Finance), K.K. Rao, Director (Opertions), and M.K. Das, Chief Vigilance Officer, MK Das, spoke.

NCC camp

A combined annual training camp for NCC cadets commenced on Saturday and a total of 750 cadets, including 255 girls, from all over the State are participating in the 12-day camp being held at the HPCL Housing Colony, Yarada Park. The camp is intended to select cadets for the Andhra Pradesh NCC Directorate team for the forthcoming All India Nau Sainik camp scheduled for next month, according to the Commanding Officer, Munish Pathak.
