Panikkar, Karnad on Planning Commission committee

KOCHI, SEPT. 7. K.N. Panikkar, historian and vice-chancellor of the Sree Sankara University of Sanskrit, Kalady has been appointed member of the Cultural Advisory Committee of the Planning Commission, New Delhi.

The Mohiniyattam dancer Kanak Rele, writer U.R. Ananthamurthy, playwright Girish Karnad and art historian B.N. Goswamy are the other members of the committee, which will review the functioning of the cultural departments during the 10th Five-Year Plan.
