Taslimuddin issue

Sir, — This refers to the Supreme Court's expression of concern over the "hurry" exhibited by the Bihar Government in seeking to withdraw the case against Union Minister Mohammed Taslimuddin. It is hoped that the judiciary will assert itself and help take all the cases relating to people in high places to their logical conclusion.

Sir, — If the Karnataka Government can withdraw the cases against Ms. Bharti, what is wrong in the Bihar Government seeking to withdraw the case against Mr. Taslimuddin?
