Tricolour issue

Sir, — During cricket matches, we see many Indian supporters wearing clothes on which the Tricolour is imprinted. Does it violate the Indian Flag Code? Can the wearing of the Tricolour (or any representation of it) ostensibly by a supporter pass legal muster? If clothing is acceptable, why not display of flags on cars?
