VHR makes light of Naidu's early poll talk
By Our Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD,
SEPT. 7.
The Congress MP, V. Hanumantha Rao, on Tuesday urged the TD president, N.Chandrababu Naidu, to "stop day-dreaming" about coming back to power. People had thrown his party out of power forever and his "cheap tactics" would not pay this time, he added.
Reacting to the reports of Mr. Naidu's prediction that mid-term elections to Parliament were round the corner, Mr.Rao said Mr.Naidu was resorting to "cheap talk".
`BJP in crisis'
The Rajya Sabha member said the BJP too was facing a similar crisis otherwise, its leaders like Yashwant Sinha would not have called the Prime Minister names. It was unfortunate that despite being a former Union Minister, Mr. Sinha was talking like a layman, he said. The Prime Minister was a gentleman to the core and also an efficient administrator, he said criticising the BJP for accusing Mr. Singh of playing second fiddle.
