LUCKNOW, SEPT. 7. The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president, Mayawati, today alleged that a conspiracy was hatched by the ruling Samajwadi Party to eliminate the party's Unnao MP, who survived an attempt on his life this morning. Reiterating her earlier demand on the imposition of President's rule in Uttar Pradesh, following a law and order situation, Ms. Mayawati said: ``When MPs and legislators are not safe in this regime, anyone can imagine about the condition of a common man.'' She said the BSP MP, Brajesh Pathak, had already informed the Lok Sabha Speaker, Somnath Chatterjee, and the Uttar Pradesh Governor, T.V. Rajeshwar, about the threat on his life and the State Government's ignorance to provide him adequate security. Ms. Mayawati said the State Government had only provided a "langra" (lame) policeman to the Unnao MP. UNI
