Letters to the Editor
Sir, I refer to Uma Bharti's outburst against Sonia Gandhi after her release from the guesthouse- turned-prison. Statements such as it is time Ms. Gandhi "learnt a lesson" and that she would invite Ms. Gandhi to hoist the National Flag at the BJP office were unwarranted. The rhetoric is similar to Narendra Modi's Sonia-bashing election campaign, which boomeranged on the BJP.
A. Jesu Raj,
Sir, Ms. Bharti's resignation as the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and her surrender in court undoubtedly enhanced her image. Will the `tainted' Ministers in the UPA Cabinet follow suit? The BJP has clearly scored a win over the Government on this issue.
O.B. Nair,
