CHANDIGARH, SEPT.8. The Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board will spend Rs.2 crores on promotion of education in schools located in backward areas near the shrine complex at Panchkula and also set up an orphanage for children within the shrine complex. This was decided at a meeting of the Board held here under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister, Om Prakash Chautala. It was also decided to revise the plan of the museum to be set up at the complex for which the Chief Minister constituted a committee under the chairmanship of the Commissioner and Secretary, Urban Development, Harbakhsh Singh. The Chief Administrator of the Board, Neelam Kasni, disclosed that adequate arrangements were being made for the ensuing `Ashwani Navratra Mela' from October 14 to 21.She said that silver coins bearing the image of Mata Mansa Devi, each costing Rs.121, were being sold at the complex.
