WARANGAL, SEPT. 8. People's War naxals presented before select mediapersons one Banothu Raju alias Sambaiah, who alleged that the police had offered him Rs. 2 lakhs to eliminate PW top cadre Yadanna or Lathakka.

Interacting with the electronic media in the Tadvai forest on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, the PW Khammam and Warangal division committee secretary, Yadanna, presented Bhanotu Raju before the media who confessed to be a covert of police.

Raju said he was asked to join the PW by the police to eliminate top cadre Buchanna one and a half years ago. Due to close links with his family, Raju could not execute the plan. Later, Buchanna surrendered to the police.

However, when Raju went to join the movement, the PW who had been suspecting him, interrogated him and he reportedly confessed to working for the police.

Meanwhile, the SP, K. Srinivasa Reddy, denied any substance in the allegation. Speaking to The Hindu , Mr. Srinivasa Reddy said PW leaders were playing a game. It was up to the people to judge.
