TIRUCHI, SEPT. 9. The Collector, V. Pandian, today conducted a surprise check at the Arivoli Continuing Education Centre at Nachikurichi in Manikandam panchayat union and directed coordinators to take steps to cover all those, who still remained illiterate in the surrounding area. He also inspected the library books register, attendance and coordinator's diary and directed the coordinators to keep the centre open as per the schedule and motivated the locals to use the books available in the library. The district project coordinator, R. Ilangovan, accompanied the Collector. According to official sources, the Arivoli Continuing Education Programme was introduced in the district last year and 468 centres were functioning here. A total of 18 block coordinators have been nominated to monitor these centres.
