Letters to the Editor
Sir, The exit of Uma Bharti and her entourage from Hubli is welcome news. We should now ponder over the implications of such political dramas staged on the streets of our country. Casting aside our party and caste affiliations, we should ensure that such events do not recur. We should not allow politicians to score political points at our expense.
Manmeet Singh Kohli,
Sir, There is a good news for "proclaimed offenders." When warrants are issued against them, they will not be arrested, but only be informed through newspapers. They will be allowed to travel on their own, according to their convenience, and surrender before the court. They will not be imprisoned in jails but in respectable guesthouses with all facilities. Thereafter, the cases will be withdrawn without any reasons being assigned.
Abu Yusuf Faraaz,
