BSP workers burn newspaper copies

LUCKNOW, SEPT. 10. The Bahujan Samaj Party workers continued their tirade today against a Hindi daily for the third day and burnt copies of the newspaper and attacked vehicles carrying its edition in Basti and Sant Kabirnagar districts of Uttar Pradesh.

The activists were protesting against the casteist slur against its party president, Mayawati, in the newspaper. Reports of torching copies were received from Bahraich, Mirzapur, Sitapur, Bulandshahar and Fatehpur in the past days.— UNI
