BANGALORE, SEPT. 10. The rain on Friday evening was a sign that Bangalore will have a wet September, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) here. The showers on Friday evening that began around 6.30 p.m. and abated towards the night may not have been heavy, but there may be many more rainy evenings, according to the IMD. A.L. Koppar, IMD Director, said the city might have spells of rain almost every second day for the rest of the month. This was a common phenomenon during this time of the year, he said. Friday's rain did not cause much damage though roads in some parts of the city including BTM Layout, Koramangala, M.G. Road and Shivajinagar were water-logged.
