SINGAPORE: The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Saturday hinted at the possibility of boycotting or delaying the commencement of the next round of six-party talks on Pyongyang's nuclear weapons programme. In raising the stakes for this dialogue process, the DPRK cited South Korea's latest acknowledgment of its past "nuclear experiments" as the new complicating factor. It was decided at the last round of these multilateral talks, held in Beijing last June, that the next meeting should take place within the next few weeks from now. Besides the DPRK and China, the host, the other participants are the U.S., South Korea, Japan and Russia.
