Arun Gopinath scalps six

MADURAI, SEPT. 11. Arun Gopinath's six for 13 and an unbeaten 62 by Kannappan helped R.L. Institute of Management defeat host Sourashtra College by three wickets in the Lagaans inter-collegiate cricket tournament here on Saturday.

The scores: Sourashtra 119 for eight (Jaisankar 58, Arun Gopinath six for 13) lost to RLIM 120 for seven (Kannappan 62 not out, Jaisankar three for 15; Veera three for 16); VHNSC Virduhunagar 165 for nine (Senthilkumar 43, Venkatesh three for 25) bt Alagappa (MBA) 113 (Sudharsan 30, Palaniappan 34 not out); KLNCE declared winner as the match against Thiagarajar School of Management was abandoned.
