NIE takes title

MYSORE, SEPT. 10. National Institute of Engineering registered a 3-1 win over SBRR Mahajana PU College (Mysore) to clinch the men's table tennis title in the Mysore City inter-collegiate tournament at the University gymnasium hall here on Friday.

The results (final): NIE (Mysore) bt SBRR Mahajana PU College 3-1 (Raghav D. Urs bt C. Nischal 9-11, 11-6, 9-11, 11-8, 11-8; Anil Mohan bt A. Krishnan 12-10, 7-11, 11-9, 7-11, 12-10; Sangam P. Salimath lost to M.R. Prajwal 8-11, 10-12, 2-11; Anil Mohan bt C. Nischal 11-8, 11-9, 11-4). Softball: Women (final): Teresian Degree College for Women bt Maharani's Arts College 7-6 (by an innings and one point).
