LRDE beats ITI

BANGALORE, SEPT. 11. Once a major force in local football, ITI is now a pale shadow of its old self. Its tale of woe in this year's edition of the Super Division League continued on Saturday afternoon in the form of a comprehensive 2-0 defeat at the hands of LRDE at the Bangalore Football Stadium.

LRDE made a forceful thrust that resulted in the side's first goal early in the second session.

Unmarked Saravana Lokesh picked up a good forward ball from Ashok, worked his way up and shot home, beating goalkeeper Mondal.

Within the next fifteen minutes LRDE scored again when Satish latched on to a pass from Stalin, dribbled past a couple of defenders and shot past a hassled Mondal.

In the A division, Royals drubbed Dharmaraja Union 7-0 with goals from Tamarai (2), Jayasheelan (2), Wilfred and Nagaraj (2).
