Elango in team for junior Wimbledon

CHENNAI, SEPT. 11. Aditya Elango of Tamil Nadu finds a place in the Indian team for the Wimbledon under-19 Open badminton championship to be held in London on September 18 and 19.

The teams: Wimbledon u-19: Boys: Anand Pawar, Akshay Dewalkar, Samrudha Rathod (all Mah), Aditya Elango (TN); Girls: Saina Nehwal (AP), Krishna Deka Raja (Asm), Gayatri Vartak (Mah), G.M. Nischitha (Kar). Coach: S. Balachandran Nair (Kerala) (SAI).

World championship: Boys: Anand Pawar, Jishnu Sanyal, Sagar Chopda (Mah), P. Kashyap (AP); Reserve: Ajay Jayaram (Mah); Girls: Saina Nehwal (AP), Aditi Mutatkar (Mah), Aparna Balan (Ker), Vaidehi Dave (Guj); Reserve: Sayali Gokhale (Mah). Coaches: Sanjiv Sachdeva and Devendra Kausal.
