Srikakulam

SRIKAKULAM, SEPT. 11. A busy schedule awaits the Chief Minister, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, who will be visiting Srikakulam district on Sunday for the first time after assuming office, to participate in the 'Rajiv Palle Bata' programme. Dr. Reddy is scheduled to land at the helipad at Allinagaram near Etcherla around 11 a.m. He will travel a distance of about 65 km passing through four mandals of Etcherla, Srikakulam, Laveru and Gara.
Loan distribution
He will mostly spend time interacting with the public and receiving representations. At Allinagaram village, he will distribute loans to the members of self-help groups and farmers and will participate in a weavers health camp at Murapaka in Laveru mandal. At Dharmavaram, the Chief Minister will give away motorcycles to the volunteers of Gopalamitra. In the afternoon, he will address a public meeting (4 p.m.) at the Srikakulam junction and distribute assets to the selected beneficiaries. This will be followed by inauguration of a granite factory at Yallapeta, additional accommodation of Andhra Pradesh Residential School at Vomaravalli and the Rs. 1.5-crore road bridge at Kalingapatnam.
Meeting scheduled
A meeting has also been scheduled with officials at the Zilla Parishad at 8.15 pm. Dr. Reddy will stay at the R&B guesthouse for the night and fly back to Hyderabad by 8 a.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, the Collector, N. Nageswara Rao, the SP, Nagi Reddy, and other officials reviewed arrangements for the Chief Minister's visit.
